Liquid soap making is just like hot process soap making. You need potassium hydroxide in order to make liquid soap.
A lot of people find liquid soap more luxurious than the cold process handmade soap.
Just a little goes a long way. This soap from the TheSSoaps has lots of lather with all natural ingredients.
This soap had coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, aloe vera and vegetable glycerin. 100% VEGAN soap.
Below is a Castile liquid soap recipe from TheSSoaps
Ingredients:
24 oz olive oil
5 oz potassium hydroxide
15.1 oz distilled water
This recipe is going to make a 3 pound batch of soap paste.
By soap paste, I mean the batch of soap before the water is added in the end to make it liquid.
You will be adding 3 pounds of water to your 3 pounds of paste to make 6
pounds of finished olive oil liquid soap.
Once you are done cooking/ the soap is translucent, just add the distilled water to it and leave it overnight.
If you find the soap to have some chunks or has not melted completely, just add another 1 pound of water and let it sit overnight. The soap will all be melted the next day, if not add another 1 pound of water.
Each olive oil (extra virgin/ virgin /pomace) is different so water ratio may vary.
