How to make calendula extract

These days natural extracts are very expensive in organic grocery stores. Just because of this I started making my own at home in order to have a natural living.

Extracts these days are getting so popular as it is used in homeopathic medicines and more. Few people like to make their own extracts for baking cakes and other deserts too eg: vanilla extract, cardamom extract, etc.

In this post, I will explain you how an extract can be made and its uses.

My story:
Once upon a time I cut my finger while cutting beetroot and the knife almost touched my bone. I started bleeding like crazy, wrapped the cut with paper towels but still not enough.
My husband immediately put a few drops of calendula extract on the cut. And you won't believe it, the bleeding stopped immediately and the cut got closed the next day. It was as though I got my finger stitched, And in a  3 days my finger was fully cured and it had no signs of the cut.
So after this incident I felt like sharing this with everyone so you all can benefit with a natural cure with no side effects.

Today I am going to share with how I make my own extracts at home

Calendula extract

Materials needed
  1. Dried Calendula flowers
  2. Mason jar or any glass jar ( Empty Jam jars)
  3. Isopropyl alcohol
  4. 80 proof or more alcohol
  5. A pair of gloves or clean hands
Method:
Step 1: Clean the mason jar using an isopropyl alcohol. We are doing this in order to remove any dirt and unwanted bacteria. It is always good to keep our surface clean while making natural products
Step 2: Fill in 3/4 th of the mason jar with dried calendula flowers.
Step 3: Fill in the jar with 80 proof alcohol and close the lid. You can use any kind of alcohol (I used vodka) but anything with 80 proof or more works best.
Step 4: Label the jar with the date and shake it well
Step 5: Store the extract in a dark place away from sunlight for 6 weeks. Shake well everyday so that the alcohol mixes well with the flowers.
Uses:
It can be used directly on wounds/cuts, it helps heal the wound fast
It can be used on acne. It reduces the growth of the acne or pimples.

Turmeric extract:

My husband's story:
Once upon a time my husband got his wisdom tooth extracted. The doctors prescribed him with the antibiotics and high dosage of painkiller but it never worked(Just made him sleep but the pain was there all the time). He was in so much pain and it extended to his head and ears.
Then I suggested that he use turmeric extract directly on to his wound for every 2 hours. After 6 hours and 3 times of using the medicine he started smiling and talking.
Now you see folks, that is the power of the turmeric extract. I also drink it to develop my immunity and it is a natural antibiotic. Just mix 5 drops of the extract with a glass of water and drink it. You will definitely see the difference in less than a month.
